Tracciando il Sentiero
Group Show
Fondazione Garuzzo

9th May 2026

Organised by Fondazione Garuzzo, “Tracciando il sentiero” is a group exhibition presented at La Castiglia in Saluzzo as part of the programme Dialoghi e altri sguardi, on the occasion of the 10th edition of START / SToria e ARTe Saluzzo and the 18th edition of Saluzzo Contemporanea.

The exhibition approaches contemporary art as a space of responsibility, considering the world not as a neutral background but as an active field of transformation, action, and choice. In a cultural landscape shaped by technological acceleration, ecological crises, and shifting forms of perception, the works on view engage with matter, energy, space, memory, and the environment as living materials for artistic research.

Hosted within the historical spaces of La Castiglia, the exhibition unfolds as a path through different languages and sensibilities, bringing together photography, sculpture, installation, painting, and video. Rather than presenting transformation as a subject to be represented from a distance, the show investigates it as a process that traverses materials, images, and forms of experience, opening new perspectives on how we perceive and inhabit the present.

A volume was published in conjunction with the exhibition, extending the project beyond the exhibition space through texts, images, and contributions that document and expand the curatorial framework. Conceived as both a trace and a continuation of the show, the publication accompanies a public programme of meetings and performative moments designed to activate the exhibition as a living site of exchange between artists, works, and audiences.

Among the artists selected for the exhibition is Alessandro Vasapolli, whose practice explores the limits of perception and the construction of images through experimental photographic systems. Without focusing on representation in a traditional sense, his work investigates how the photographic medium can be reconfigured through optical, chromatic, and mechanical processes, opening a reflection on the instability of vision and on the possibility of seeing beyond the conventions of human perception.
