Effemeridi
Solo Show
Palazzo Crivelli

11th March 2018

Held from May 10 to 17, 2018, at Palazzo Crivelli in Milan, “Effemeridi” is a solo exhibition featuring a selection of large-format works from the Early Works series. The show occupied the main ground-floor salon of the historic building, creating an immersive environment where photography, light, and silence converged.

The exhibited images explored the threshold between portraiture and abstraction, memory and perception. Through delicate chromatic shifts, hand-painted backgrounds, and carefully choreographed poses, the images suspended the viewer in a space of contemplative stillness. The title “Effemeridi” – evoking both astronomical coordinates and the fleeting nature of appearance – underscored the artist’s interest in the invisible structures that shape our understanding of reality.

Rooted in a rigorous in-camera process without post-production, the works on view offered a reflection on temporality, intimacy, and the unreliability of vision, affirming photography not as a tool for documentation, but as a means of questioning the visible.
