Published on Artribune, this article announces “DéVoilées“, a solo exhibition by Alessandro Vasapolli held at the Auditorium of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin from September 13 to 27, 2018.
The exhibition, realized in collaboration with Franco Curletto, presented a selection of large-scale photographs from a broader project composed of 27 portraits of female backs, partially veiled and suspended in painterly atmospheres.
The feature highlights Vasapolli’s distinctive working method, which alters the photographic image at the moment of capture without digital post-production. The result is a series of works that blur the boundary between photography and memory, offering a poetic meditation on perception, identity, and presence.
